The main purpose of the audit committee is to assist the Supervisory Board in controlling the Bank’s financial and economic operations (controlling that the financial and other reports are complete and true, control over the process of its preparation and presentation, efficiency of internal control and audit procedures, risk management).
The exclusive functions of the Audit Committee are as follows:
- Evaluating candidates for the position of Banks’ auditors and submitting of the evaluation results to the Supervisory Board;
- Evaluating reports of the Bank’s auditors as to the complete representation of the data specified in reports and other financial documents of the Bank;
- Evaluating the efficiency of internal control and risk management procedures effective in the Bank, preparing proposals for their improvement.
The Audit Committee shall convene as often as necessary, but at least once every three months. It is compulsory that the Audit Committee is headed by an independent director and I.Neivelt is its head. The other members of the Audit Committee are currently N.Kukuruzova and A.Ibragimov.
