One of the major banks in Russia’s North-West Region, Bank Saint Petersburg was founded in 1990, at the very beginning of Russia creating a modern banking system. During its history, the Bank has become an integral part of Northwest Russia’s financial and economic system.
Bank Saint Petersburg is a leader in the city’s financial services market, ranking 15th among Russia’s largest banks (as of January 1, 2013).
The Bank provides services through its 41 branches and offices to more than 1,200,000 private clients and to more than 39,000 corporate clients, including major companies located in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. The Bank is proud of the market share and the long-term relationships built with clients.
In the first place, Bank Saint Petersburg is a city bank; the Bank’s task is to contribute to St. Petersburg’s future development, providing high quality banking services to residents of the city and local companies. The Bank pays special attention to financing programs related to city life, providing loans to all industries and production facilities. The Bank has also proactively developed credit programs focused on small- and medium-sized businesses.
In late 2007, the Bank became the first privately-owned Russian bank to successfully complete an IPO. Today, the Bank’s shares are traded on MICEX-RTS, the integrated Russian stock exchange.
The Bank follows social responsibility principles and supports city programs aimed at upgrading the social and economic climate in St. Petersburg.

- Reducing the share of non-core and low-yield assets
- Increasing the share of higher-margin loans (standard mass segment lending products) in the loan portfolio
- Promoting the Bank’s business operations in the electronic environment
Via this strategy, the Bank will strengthen its position as St. Petersburg’s largest commercial bank and will become the service level leader.
